Your kitchen is one of the most used rooms in your house, and probably one of the more difficult ones to pack. You’ll be surprised by the sheer number of kitchen items – both big and small – that you’ll have tucked away in cabinets and drawers. Before your move is a great time to take stock of what you have and purge if you need to. Get rid of multiples (do you really need 7 spatulas?!) and broken items, clean and dry appliances so you don’t move dirt and crumbs to your new house, and disassemble small appliances before packing them into boxes. Remove or secure power cords, and then carefully pack your items – using the original boxes if you still have them! (You knew you kept them for a reason!)
